Lamb Chops with Rosemary and Garlic Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 pound lamb rib chops
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons extra olive oil

Lamb Chops with Rosemary and Garlic Recipe Preparation

Mix the salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary and 2 tablespoons of the olive oil together in a small bowl. Coat the lamb chops with the mixture properly with fingers and keep it aside for 30-45 minutes.

In a frying pan, use a high heat to heat the 2 tablespoons olive oil. When the oil is shimmering hot, sear the chops on all sides about 2 to 3 minutes per side. If you are working with single rib chops, sear only on two sides, and only a minute (or less) on each side if you want the result to be rare or medium rare.

If you want lamb chops more cooked, put them in a 400°F oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or keep them in the hot pan by lowering the heat to warm and cover the pan for a few minutes.

Lamb rib chops are small and cook quickly so check internal temperature with a thermometer can be impractical. You can use a finger test to check the doneness of the lamb chops.

Remove the chops from the pan, cover with foil and let rest 3 to 5 minutes. Serve the most delicious lamb rib chops with Dipitt Spicy Garlic Dip or Dipitt Spicy Garlic Mayo Dip before serving.
