Bihari Boti

Bihari Boti is an old, traditional and famous cuisine belongs to Indian city Bihar. It is immensely loved by every food lover due to its amazing flavor, texture and delightful taste. It is also very popular in Pakistan and people enjoyed making this cuisine at their homes on big occasions such as Eid-ul-adha and get-togethers or lunch/dinners.

The best thing about the Bihari Boti is that it can be baked in the oven or BBQ, it would great in taste whatever method you choose. You can serve Bihari Boti with traditional roghni naan or tandoori roti along with the Dipitt BBQ sauce or Dipitt BBQ Honey Dip.  

Bihari Boti INGREDIENTS

  • 500 gram beef boneless (cut in cubes/boti)
  • 2 tablespoon papaya
  • 2 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 4 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 & 1/2 tablespoon onion (fried)
  • 1 tablespoon red chili crushed
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 & 1/2 tablespoon fried onion
  • 1/2 tablespoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon ginger & garlic paste
  • 3 tablespoon gram flour
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • Salt (as needed)

BIHARI BOTI Recipe PREPARATION

Use a pot and add beef (boti) and papaya in it to marinate and keep in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. After that, add and marinate 4 tbsp mustard oil, 1/2 cup yogurt, 2 tbsp lemon juice red chili powder and crushed chili, , 2 tbsp fried onion, 3 tbsp gram flour, 1 tbsp cumin, ½ tbsp turmeric, 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste and salt as per taste. Keep in the refrigerator for 2 hours. You can bake in the oven or can BBQ as you like. Bake in the oven at 170-200c for 15-20 minutes to get Bihari Boti ready. Transfer in the serving dish or bowl and serve with hot roghni naan or tandoori roti with Dipitt BBQ sauce and Dipitt BBQ Honey Dip for a magnificent delight.
